This puts the UUT into the TC Cal mode. 1.007 DISP Allow the UUT to stablize at room temperature, 1.007 DISP 23+/-5degC (73+/-9degF). 1.008 DISP Setup the UUT to display degrees C if not already. 1.009 JMPT 1.012 Fluke 51: CAL ADJ /5520 1.010 MEM2 =T1 1.011 DISP Select T1. 1.012 DISP Connect the 5520A TC terminals to the UUT [MEM2] 1.012 DISP terminals using a type K, SMP plug to SMP plug cable. 1.013 DISP Polarity is important, so connect the positive side 1.013 DISP to the narrow thermocouple blade and the negative side 1.013 DISP to the wide blade. When using this connector with the 1.013 DISP UUT case top removed, make sure that the wide blade is 1.013 DISP oriented the same as the case top would normally allow. 1.014 5520 25.2degC _K TC S 2W 1.015 DISP Allow the meter reading to settle and then adjust the 1.015 DISP [MEM2] offset adjustment (R7) for a display reading of 1.015 DISP 25.2+/-0.1degC. 1.016 JMPT 1.022 Fluke 51: CAL ADJ /5520 1.017 5520 * S 1.018 DISP Select T2. 1.019 DISP Connect the 5520A TC terminals to the UUT T2 1.019 DISP terminals using a type K, SMP plug to SMP plug cable. 1.020 5520 25.2degC _K TC S 2W 1.021 DISP Allow the meter reading to settle and then adjust the 1.021 DISP T2 offset adjustment (R13) for a display reading of 1.021 DISP 25.2+/-0.1degC. 1.022 5520 1370.0degC _K TC S 2W 1.023 DISP Allow the meter reading to settle and then adjust 1.023 DISP R21 for a display reading of 1370.0+/-0.4degC. 1.024 5520 * S 1.025 DISP Disconnect the 5520A from the UUT. 1.026 DISP With an elastomeric switch pad in both hands, use the 1.026 DISP left one to short out the TP2 grid, and use the right 1.026 DISP one to first turn on the instrument and then quickly 1.026 DISP short out the VIEW switch grid. Hold this position 1.026 DISP until the display is held in self-test. This puts the 1.026 DISP UUT into the Reference Junction Sensor calibration mode, 1.026 DISP and the VIEW maneuver turns off a filter so that the 1.026 DISP reading settles immediately. 1.027 DISP Connect the 80T-150U Temperature Probe to the 45 Volt 1.027 DISP Ohm Diode and COM terminals. 1.028 DISP Place the probe tip against the reference junction 1.028 DISP transistor (Q1) located in the middle hole of the 1.028 DISP isothermal block. 1.029 45 23.0mV N 2W 1.030 DISP Adjust R16 for a reading of [MEM]degC. 1.031 DISP Disconnect the 5520A from the UUT. 1.032 DISP Power down the UUT and reassemble. 1.033 END
